The convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, on Monday said that bandits will soon start kidnapping governors and senators in the country.
The human rights activist said this while reacting to the abduction of the Niger State Commissioner for Information, Sani Idris.
Idris was earlier today, kidnapped at about 1:00pm in his hometown, Bana Tunga village in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Secretary to the Chief State to Sani Bello, the State Governor, Mary Noel-Berje confirmed the incident earlier in the day.
She added that security agencies were on the trail of the assailants and hopes the captives will be rescued unharmed.
Deji Adeyanju, while reacting in a Twitter post said that, “Bandits have abducted Commissioner of Information of Niger State. Very soon, they may start kidnapping Governors and Senators.
“If the bandits and terrorists are kidnapping only politicians, the insecurity would have been solved since and majority of Nigerians won’t have any issues with the bandits.”
