BBNaija Season 5 Set to Debut – Hetty's Media – Very Nigerian. News-on-your-phone-on-the-go

BBNaija reality TV show, season 5 is set to debut on 19th July.

Organisers of the event posted the announcement this afternoon, June 29th on the official Twitter handle of the show.

Season 5 edition promises to be totally different in view of the social distancing rules brought on by the covid19 pandemic. The health and social distancing guidelines make it even more interesting to see.

This season’s show will be sponsored by @Betway Nigeria in association with @Guinness NGR.

An online audition commenced on 20th May and has since closed.

At the kick-off of the audition,Multichoice Chief Executive Officer John Ugbe said that,

“Big Brother Naija has been widely regarded as Africa’s biggest entertainment exports, being the biggest showcase of Nigeria’s diversity outside of core Nollywood. Season 5 promises to be more adventurous, exciting and entertaining, and will undoubtedly be the biggest thing on African television in 2020.

Speaking further, Ugbe said that “the timing is also particularly important given the dominance of the covid19 pandemic. Auditions for the 5th edition will now hold online and viewers and stakeholders alike can rest assured knowing that global best practices, precautions and preventive measures will be followed throughout the show, even as we guarantee the premium entertainment BBNaija is renowned for.
