A group of Igbos under the aegis of the Biafra Nations League has blasted APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe for his comments directed at Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.
Abaribe has recently been adorning the “Dot Nation” t-shirt on his social media platforms and at public events.
He was also seen at Senate Plenary on Tuesday in the t-shirt, a development that certainly angered Igbokwe who described the Senator as an “ethnic bigot and an elder for nothing” in several social media tweets.
The phrase “Dot Nation” became popular after President Muhammadu Buhari described in an Arise TV interview that those from the South East would have nowhere to run should they secede from Nigeria.
According to him, the South East is “a dot in a circle” considering they are landlocked within Nigeria, being surrounded by several other states and ethnic groups.
In a statement on Wednesday, the National leader of BNL Princewill Chimezie Richard, said Igbokwe is doing everything possible to remain relevant in Lagos politics. For this reason, he fights the interest of the Igbos and the entire Biafra Nation.
Richard also used the occasion to liken igbokwe’s actions to that of Lauretta Onochie who he described as a “political harlot who ought to be in her husband’s kitchen but decided to be sharing Buhari’s kitchen with Aisha.”
He said the “two Igbo aides are enemies of the Southeast who will soon be dumped after they have been used.”
