The organisers of Big Brother Naija Season 6 reality TV show tagged ‘Shine Ya Eye’ have revealed how much it cost to host the show.
The CEO of DSTV in Nigeria, John Ugbe disclosed that the show cost N4.3 billion.
He said this on Monday during the prize presentation to the winner of the latest edition, Whitemoney.
According to Ugbe, “We employed 12,000 persons for the show, it cost us N4.3 billion to air this show this year.
“We use BBNaija to enrich lives and contribute positively to society. We hope to continue to do so.”
The organisers of the show further stated that one billion votes were recorded this year from viewers.
This season’s edition ended on Sunday, the 3rd of October with Hazel Oyeye Onou, better known as Whitemoney emerging as winner.
The prices were presented to Whitemoney live on the BBNaija channel on DSTV on Monday.
The reality TV star was also presented with the keys to a house and a top of the range SUV by the organisers of the most popular TV show in Africa.
