Billionaire Philanthropist Dies from Perfume Ritual in Celestial Church

A Dubai-based Lagos billionaire philanthropist, Kayode Badru is reported to have died from a tragic perfume ritual in the Celestial Church of Christ.

The incident which occurred on Wednesday, 5th of May 2021 ws reported by Celestial News Online.

The report narrates how the Dubai-based socialite flew into Lagos to celebrate with 40 students. The students were who solely sponsored through school by him were celebrating their graduation at the Church’s Imole Parish, Nureni Yusuf Way, Kollington Bus Stop, Alagbado, Lagos.

Badru was asked to kneel down surrounded by 7 elders holding burning candles. CelestialNewsOnline further reports that, “He was holding a candle, then the prophet of the church, Felix Alebiosu sprayed perfume on his body from his head to his toe.

“Within a few minutes, his body caught fire. He suffered severe burns and was rushed to the hospital in Gbagada, Lagos. He died few hours after.”

The report further states that Prophet Felix Alebiosu fled immediately after the incident but was arrested later with 2 of the seven elders. They are, at the time of this report being interrogated at the Panti police station, Lagos.

The Church Pastoral Directorate has since issued a statement dated 8th May stating the guidelines for the perfume rituals in the Celestial Church.
