Bishop Oyedepo’s reaction to the imminent reopening of churches is that of joy.
The presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) thoughts were made known following government’s gradual easing of the lockdown measures taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
David Oyedepo describes the move as a welcome development after many weeks of lockdown, restriction of moving and social distancing.
Churches and mosques in Lagos for instance, have been advised by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to Register to Reopen. After the registration, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency will visit the premises.
The visit is to ensure that adequate re-ordering of sitting and worshipping arrangements are in place before approvals are granted to re-open.

Bishop Oyedepo as well as a number of other clerics, in various reactions, requested that churches be allowed to commence worship. According to the Bishop, there is no reason why markets would be allowed to operate and places of worship are not.
He advised Christians that very soon, the entire world will be free of the covid19 scourge. However, since the outbreak of covid19, #LFCLiveService have been holding worship services online, television and radio.
On Saturday, Oyedepo said in a statement that “21 states are open to worship, the other ones have no choice. They should just know that they have no choice. Trump had declared places of worship open across the US. That is how God has been humiliating this noisome pestilence.”
