The release of popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, from jail is alleged to have been extended after his fans went to the facility to pick him up on Monday, July 29.
The socialite’s release has been delayed due to an alleged miscalculation on his jail term.
The crossdresser was sentenced to 6 months in prison on April 12, 2024, after he pleaded guilty to Naira abuse.
Fans eagerly awaited his release, only to be disappointed after new information surfaced.
Content creator and social commentator, Tosin Silverdam reported that a miscalculation led to a reassessment of the release date.
Silverdam revealed that Bobrisky’s team, who arrived to pick him up from prison, were informed of the error and that the new release date has been set for Monday, August 5, 2024.
