Members of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group, on Thursday, invaded the Mobile Police training school in Limankara, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
SaharaReporters and Punch say they came in their numbers shooting unhindered and abducting many students and instructors.
The school is located 25 kilometres from Gwoza town, hometown of Senator Ali Ndume, Chairman, Senate Committee on Army.
Gwoza is a border town between Borno and Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The terrorists allegedly invaded the training school with gun trucks shooting sporadically into the air before rounding up and kidnapping the mobile police instructors.
The attackers are said to have arrived with their cameras to video-tape the operation as they burnt down the flags in the school compound.
This comes barely seven days after they attempted to infiltrate the Nigerian Army base in Gwoza but they were successfully repelled by men of the Nigerian army.
The senate committee on Army led by Senator Ali Ndume paid a working visit to the Theatre Command’s Operation Hadin Kai in the area only 2 days ago.
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has lamented the current security situation in the state and the Northwest in general. He charged the military not to relent in protecting the citizens.
He added that Boko Haram terrorists now celebrate weddings and collect taxes from some communities without confrontation by the military.
