The disgraced 16-year-old Mmesoma Ejikeme has reportedly become suicidal after confessing to falsifying her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
Earlier on Saturday, an eight-member panel set up by Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State to investigate the controversies surrounding the widely celebrated result announced by Mmesoma indicted the student.
Professor Nkemdili Nnonyelu who headed the committee confirmed Mmesoma forged the score of 362 as earlier claimed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The report of the investigation submitted to the governor confirmed she single-handedly forged the result before approaching a cyber cafe for printing.
Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu this Saturday evening shared an audio of Mmesoma threatening to take her life following the outcome of the UTME fracas.
Harrison, who visited the young student, stated that the 16-year-old had reached out to him, sobbing uncontrollably. He said that the father also sent him an SOS on the girl’s attempt to take her own life.
He further pleaded with the public and examination body to forgive and pardon Mmesoma.
Sharing the video, he captioned it, “Her call over killing herself took me to Nnewi.
”Please, let’s forgive this Jamb girl NMESOM A. She has promised to tender an APOLOGY and explain how she got the result.”
