President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Lagos aboard a Nigerian Air Force Boeing aircraft.
He was welcomed by a cultural troupe and a Presidential Guard of Honour at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport..
He was received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos; his Deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, as well as top security chiefs and a number of lawmakers in the state.
Buhari is visiting Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria, to inaugurate the newly constructed terminal of the Lagos airport and Dangote fertiliser production plant.

He said, “The significance of President Mohammadu Buhari’s visit to Lagos State today;
“i. The Commissioning of Dangote 3 Million TPA Fertilizer Plant, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
“ii. The Commissioning of Murtala Muhammed International Airport (New Terminal Building), Ikeja, Lagos.
“This is the idea that gave birth to the development around Ibeju Lekki, several years ago as conceived by @OfficialAPCNg national leader and Presidential aspirant @officialABAT. Governor @jidesanwoolu served in his cabinet at the time. Take a listen…“
“The President, @MBuhari and Governor @jidesanwoolu would be witnessing the signing ceremony of an MOU between the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Lagos State Government for the construction of 9km Perimeter Expressway for the benefit of Nigerians.“
