President Muhammadu Buhari has given his former aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmad a new appointment as his Special Assistant on Digital Communications.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, confirmed the new job role in a letter of appointment dated July 20, 2022.
SGF Mustapha said the appointment took effect from July 19, 2022.
During the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections,Bashir Ahmad resigned from his former position.
This came after President Muhammadu Buhari directed all political office holders wishing to contest elective offices to resign.
He, however, failed to to secure the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s primaries for Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency.
According to Ahmad, the APC primary was fraught with malpractices.
