The Muhammadu Buhari led government has filed fresh charges against the embattled leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The Federal Government filed the amended process before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
The government increased the counts in the initial charge it preferred against the leader of the proscribed IIPOB
Nnamdi Kanu who was facing a 7-count charge bordering on felony, will now enter his fresh plea to a 15-count amended charge.
The fresh charges are marked FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, and signed by the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, M B Abubakar.
Federal Government amended the charge barely barely 24 hours to the scheduled commencement of hearing by the trail Justice Binta Nyako.
The court had on December 2, fixed 18, 19 and 20 January to hear some pending applications, including the one Kanu filed to be discharged and acquitted.
