President Muhammadu Buhari is set to secretly visit Maiduguri, capital of Borno State.
The reason for the discrete visit is, as reported by SaharaReporters to avoid public protests considering how traumatised the state has been in the last 2 decades.

Many residents have also become disenfranchised with the Federal Government in as much as the state is also the stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC wrenched power from the acclaimed biggest political party in Africa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 and retained power in 2019.
Fears of a repeat of the reception the President had in 2020 is corroborated by a report by Postsubman.
