Buhari Postpones Medical Trip to the UK

President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed his scheduled medical trip to the UK.

Hetty Os blog, yesterday, reported that the President was billed to jet out today, 25th of June to the European country for a follow-up medical visit with his personal physician.

No reason has so far been given for the cancelled trip but his Media Aide, Femi Adesina said that a new date will be announced in due course.

According to him, “The medical follow-up visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the United Kingdom earlier scheduled for today, Friday, June 25, 2021 has been postponed.

“A new date will be announced in due course.”

Buhari’s last medical trip to the UK caused an uproar as former Media Aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan led a street protest outside Nigeria House in London.

Omokri and some Nigerians resident in the UK trended the hashtag “#Buharigohome” thought President Buhari’s stay in London.

They protested his medical trips at a time when Nigeria’s medical infrastructure was in shambles. It also coincided with the time when resident doctors were on strike due to poor remunerations and non-payment of salaries.

Pro-Buhari protesters also staged a counter protest, expressing their love for the President and his efforts at improving the lives of Nigerians.
