Nigeria’s Minister for Water Resources, Engr Adamu Suleiman has disclosed that he is undergoing treatment after contracting covid19.

Suleiman gave the update during the flag-off of the National Youth Volunteer Program on Clean Up Nigeria Campaign.

During the virtual meeting, the minister advised Nigerians to avoid treating the issue of the virus with levity saying that nobody is immune to the virus.

The minister advised citizens to adhere to all health protocols as outlined by experts to stay safe from the killer virus.

According to him, “The issue of Covid19 is a very serious and critical issue and our people must not take it lightly.

“The volunteers should pass this message. We as Ministers are not immunes to the pandemic

“The reason why I am not with you physically is because I am still recovering from treatment on account of #COVID19 infection.

“We thank God that I am doing very well. It is a living testimony to all others that nobody is immune.”

The Minister added that, “The high and mighty; the high and low; the big and small, everybody is vulnerable. We should work hard to ensure that we present this disease in our communities.

“Keep all protocols and when the time comes to take the vaccine, please do not hesitate to do so.”
