Grammy award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy has reacted to the trending shooting incident involving his personal security at the Cubana night club saying that people do not like seeing him happy.
Burna Boy made the claim in a video posted on his Instastory days after a married woman narrated the singer’s alleged involvement in the shooting of two fun seekers at Club Cubana on Victoria Island recently.
The singer said that people are usually not happy about his state of mind when they see him smiling.
He added that irrespective of people’s thoughts against him, God is greater than them.
According to him, “When they see the omemma smiling, they are not happy, that’s life, when they see the omemma smiling they say No to the omemma smile. But. God pass them.”
For the past few day, the married woman in a series of social media posts shared her side of the story, detailing all the events that took place in the club.
She said her husband and some friends had visited the club to celebrate her childhood friend who recently got married.
She said while they were having a good time and laughing at the VIP section, Burna Boy sent one of his friends to call her and she told him, she wasn’t interested in any talk with the singer
After the man came to call her for the third time, her friends and husband flared up and it degenerated into a fight.
The lady added that one of her friends had tried to calm the situation but Burna Boy proceeded to his car while being protected by security.
The lady added that her partner and friend were shot during the fight, with both needing urgent medical attention
