Buruji Kashamu Buried with Crowd Defying Covid19 Protocols

Former Senator Buruji Kashamu was buried this morning with a mammoth crowd of sympathisers who paid no attention to covid19 protocols.

The burial ceremony took place at about 12.55pm today, 9th August at his Ijebu Igbo residence Ogun State.

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun was at the home of late Buruji Kashamu earlier today to pay his condolences.

Sympathisers from all walks of life thronged the late senator’s residence since the news of his death broke. His remains arrived his home town last night to the tumultuous crowd.

Most of the visitors describe him as a generous philanthropist who lifted them out of poverty. Indeed, a lot of the sympathisers insist he was vilified for political reasons as he spent most of his wealth on the poor.

The entire city of Ijebu Igbo wore a mournful look with many wailing uncontrollably as the late Senator Buruji Kashamu is laid to rest.

His political associates have continued to pay their last respect especially via social media.

Kashamu died at the First Cardiologists Hospital, in Ikoyi, Lagos after battling covid19. He was a Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District between 2015 and 2019.

He fought an extradition order by the EFCC on the request of the US. The wanted him back to that country to face drug trafficking charges.
