A billionaire business man has awarded Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, the student with the highest UTME score, the sum of N2.5 Million.
Umeh, a student of student of Deeper Life High School, Mowe, got the cash gift for emerging as the overall best candidate in the just concluded 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
It was confirmed by JAMB that Umeh scored 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English, totalling 360 in this year’s UTME.
In a bid to encourage her, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Erisco Foods Limited, Dr Eric Umeofia, announced a cash gift to the young girl.
During a chat with journalists on Friday (today), Umeofia said he was moved by the student’s interview with The PUNCH earlier.
The business mogul also announced various cash rewards to the school’s administrator, the four subject teachers, and two other best students.
