The Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema has taken advantage of a trip in one of his Boeing 777 planes to preach unity and peace in spite of Nigeria’s ethnic diversity.
He admonished Nigerians to be proud of their multiple ethnic and cultural backgrounds and use it to bond together.
Speaking aboard Air Peace Flight 7120, from Lagos to Abuja on Wednesday, he said that “our diversity should be our strength and not our albatros.”
He added that just like Americans from hundreds of countries who, the moment they get the American passport, project the United States of America with pride, Nigerians should do the same with their multi-ethnicity.
“The diversity we have is the best thing that ever happened to this nation. Let us make it work,” Onyema said.
He called on the passengers not to be carried away by recent calls for separation but instead work at living as one united nation.
Allen Onyema added that the country can be better if everyone joins hands with the government to make it work and Nigerians must never lose hope in the unity and peace of the country.
“The diversity we have is the best thing that ever happened to this nation. Let us make it work,” he added.
