A petrol tanker explosion that occurred in Boksburg, South Africa, killed no fewer than 9 people.
The incident which happened in the eastern city of Johannesburg also had scores of residents numbering about forty injured.
Reports say that emergency services immediately attended to the scene to put the fire under control while casualties were evacuated.
The tanker, transporting liquefied petroleum gas, “got stuck under a bridge close to a hospital and houses.
“Firefighters were called to extinguish the flames. Unfortunately, the tanker exploded,” a spokesman for the emergency services in the region, William Ntladi told reporters.
