Workers at the Federal Medical Centre where victims of Sunday’s Church attack at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo town, were rushed to are battling to save the lives and calling for blood donations.
Over 50 people were reportedly killed in the attack at at the community said to be the hometown of the State Governor.
The hospital workers are said to be racing against time but lack enough blood to go round the victims who require transfusion.
Some relatives and friends of victims of the attack on the Catholic church have also stormed the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, to check on their loved ones.
The gruesome attack which happened in the church is less than 200 meters away from the Palace of Olowo of Owo.
Photos sighted online captured some residents and relatives of victims in front of the Federal Medical Centre Owo. They are said to come to get firsthand information on condition of their loved ones.
Meanwhile, workers of the Federal Medical Centre are calling for blood donors from Nigerians to save the lives of the victims.
Some Nigerian celebrities have also taken to their social media page to condemn the attack as they commiserate with the victims’ families.
