There have been church crusades in Nigeria for Donald Trump’s Presidency.

Most of the crusades held in the Eastern part of the country especially the churches which are against abortions and gay rights.

Other reasons have given for the crusades are:
  • The Eastern Nigerians, mostly Igbos trace their origin to Israel and Trump is an unrepentant supporter of anything that grants Israel the biblical supremacy.
  • He is the only U S President to formally recognise Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel unlike previous who saw the need but did nothing According to Wikipedia, “On December 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump announced the United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the planning of the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem“
  • The Igbos in whose domain the church crusades held make up the yet to be recognised Biafran movement. They believe that Donald Trump will support the quest for actualising the sovereign State of Biafra.
  • Other Nigerians believe Nigeria’s support for Trump will earn the country the exclusion from the US visa ban.
  • Nearly every local community in Nigeria has a relative living and working in the US.
  • America considers Nigerians as the most hardworking immigrants. Coming back home to the harsh economic conditions back home would have unpleasant ripple effects on the country’s socio-political and economic structure.
