CNN Applauds Nigeria’s Record-breaking Chef, Hilda Baci (video)

Nigerian world record breaking chef, Hilda Baci has been applauded by world renowned international news platform CNN.

This comes after she was featured following her determination to break the longest cooking record.

In order to break the record, she cooked for four days with a total of 100 hours.

The first female to hold the record of cooking for longest was an India chef called Lata Tondon. She cooked continuously for eighty-seven hours forty-five minutes.

However, Hilda Baci broke the record by cooking for 100 hours, 55 recipes over 100 meals and fed over 3000 people.

Featuring the inspirational Akwa Ibom-born chef, CNN posted on its official Instagram page that: “Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey has become a national sensation after cooking nonstop for 100 hours, in an attempt to set a world record.

‘The first day was the most difficult. I was ready to give up 6 hours in. I feel like a miracle happened and somehow I got to this. The support has been incredible,’ she said.

“The Guinness world record committee still has to confirm whether Bassey will become the record holder.

Social media users especially Nigerians are currently eagerly waiting or Guinness World Records (GWR) to officially crown Hilda Baci the new record breaker.
