The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has nabbed a former Lagos Council Boss and drug baron, Asekun Kehinde.
Items recovered from him include 1kg of cocaine and N145 million.
Kehinde Asekun is a former Vice-Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area. He was apprehended at the Murtala Muhammed Airport on Friday by operatives of the NDLEA while trying to board a Virgin Atlantic flight to London.
Leadeship News reports that, “Operatives of the NDLEA @ndlea_nigeria arrest a wanted notorious drug baron and Lagos politician, AsekunKehinde Sakiru, for possessing a kilogramme of cocaine concealed in pairs of palm slippers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos last Friday.”
