It was a tense moment on Monday, at the 3rd Mainland Bridge as commuters rushed down from their vehicles to rescue a young lady who attempted to jump into the lagoon.
The rescuers had a difficult time stopping her and pulling her back as her mind was apparently fully made up to end it all.
Other concerned citizens who stopped from their cars along the road also raised an alarm calling on people to help the lady.
While she was being made to sit on the ground, many questioned what was wrong with her and why she attempted to commit suicide.
