An 18-year-old girl, Mariam Rauf, alleged to have been sleeping at a church headed by one Pastor Ola John is said to have disappeared.
Bukola Ayeni, a resident of Oke Baale in Osogbo who is also the victim’s mother accused the pastor of playing a part in the disappearance of the girl.
She made the allegation while speaking with newsmen at Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Ayeni revealed that the teenage girl was last seen on Monday, 29th March after she left home for school. The horrified mother pleaded with security agencies to investigate the mystery behind her child getting missing.
She alleged that the Pastor who took the girl in since 2019 to cure her of bedwetting has not shown any concern since her disappearance.
Narrating how she handed the teenager to Pastor John, Ayeni said that, “After I had narrated the situation to Pastor John, he advised me to allow her to be sleeping in the church.
“Early this year, my husband suggested Mariam return home. On two occasions, my daughter suddenly went into a trance. That development made us send her back to church.”
She added that since her 18-year-old daughter went missing, nothing serious has been heard about the matter.
Ayeni however, alleged that the only thing the Pastor could tell them was that one of Mariam’s friends told them that she was somewhere in the South-East selling herbal products.
