The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced that the coronavirus pandemic may end in less than 2 years.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director General of WHO gave the hint on Friday at a news conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
He noted that the battle against #COVID19 could be won within 2 years with modern technology and international cooperation.
Speaking further, Ghebreyesus said that the virus tends to spread more easily because the world is much more interconnected than it was 100 years ago.
Raising hopes that indeed coronavirus may end in 2 Years, he added, that modern technology has given humanity the tools to fight the virus more effectively than the Spanish flu.
According to him, “Hoping we can have additional tools like a vaccine, I think we can finish it in a shorter time than the 1918 Spanish flu.
“So we hope to finish this pandemic in less than 2 years,” he added.
The covid19 pandemic broke out in Wuhan, China in the last quarter of 2019. The viral and deadly disease soon spread across the globe, ravaging Europe and America in alarming proportions.
