Security operatives in Imo State have arrested a couple, Mr and Mrs Lambert Ukachukwu and their daughter for allegedly conniving to kill their last child, Chukwuebuka.
Reports say that the deceased was allegedly killed on Saturday, the 17th of September 2021 for being too stubborn and giving the family sleepless nights.
Chukwuebuka’s murder was revealed by the couple’s daughter who witnessed the killing. She narrated that the deceased was hit with a log of wood and was left to die after which he was buried in a shallow grave.
Luck ran out on the culprits when suspecting youths of Duruegwele community in Imo State confronted the deceased’s father, demanding for his whereabouts.
Mr Ukachukwu told them that Ebuka had travelled to Ghana. However, after putting a lot of pressure on the parents and threatening to burn down the house, Ebuka’s sister confessed to the crime.
The couple and their daughter were subsequently arrested while the deceased’s older brother, Philip is at large.
