Court Inspector, Onumajulu Dies from Kidnappers’ Gunshot Wounds

A customary court inspector identified as Odera Onumajulu, who sustained gunshot wounds during a kidnap attack is dead.

The elegant promising legal practitioner was kidnapped in front of her residence in Owerri, Imo state, on May 22.

She is reported by Punch to have died on Wednesday, June 22 after medical personnel battled for one month to save her life.

Speaking about the tragic incident, the secretary of the NBA, Owerri branch, Chinedu Agu, said the branch was saddened by the death of Onumajulu.

He stated that, “Before the ugly incident, Onumajulu was a customary court inspector attached to the customary court of appeal, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016.

It is very sad how another colleague has become a victim in the ravaging insecurity in Imo”
