A Sharia Court in Rigasa, Kaduna has ordered a woman seeking divorce from her husband, the same of N70000.
The amount is said to be the dowry Ismail Bello paid when he sought the hand of Shamsiyya Abdullahi in marriage.
The Judge, Malam Salisu Abubakar-Tureta, also ordered the wife to return two suit cases and vanity kit to Bello.
Justice Abubakar-Tureta however, said she is allowed to keep the 5 wrappers and underwear that were in the suitcases.
On his part, Bello was asked to pay monthly allowance of N6000 for the upkeep of their child.
Abdullahi had made a complaint about her husband to the court and demanded that the court dissolve the marriage between them. She maintained that she was ready to return her dowry to perfect the divorce.
Bello also asked that three suitcases and a vanity kit he gave her as part of traditional rites for their wedding be returned.
