Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has gone into self-isolation.
This comes after one of his close aides tested positive for #COVID19 on Friday.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, Sanwo-Olu, members of his family and cabinet are also self isolating until tests carried out by the Lagos State biobank on Friday are released.
Prof Abayomi added that this is not the first time that the governor is being tested for the killer disease.
He said that Sanwo-Olu has had not less than 3 tests since May after 10 of his aides tested positive for covid19.
According to the Health Commissioner, there is a spike in cases of the disease in clusters within Lagos State.
He reminded every Lagos State resident to ensure the observance of health advisories of safe distancing, regular hand-washing, respiratory hygiene and avoidable gatherings.
