Over the weekend, some night clubs were shut as the Nigerian Police continue to raid social venues who breach government instructed covid19 protocols.
Some arrests were also made during the operation.
in like manner, not less than 71 persons were arrested the previous weekend around Surulere for the same offence.
Police Spokesman, Chief Superintendent of Police Adejobi said the task force raided Folix Club, Lekki and Bench Bar, Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere, Lagos.
Adejobi told newsmen that during the raid, the Taskforce impounded 11 vehicles for violating the 12 midnight to 4:00am curfew in addition to 2 other vehicles for driving against traffic (one way) on the same night.
He added that the the State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has ordered the immediate trial of the suspects and necessary sanctions for the owners of the impounded vehicles.
CP Odumosu further directed that officers and men of the State Police Command must intensify efforts on ensuring total compliance with the health protocols instructed by the Presidential Task Force on #COVID19.
