Nigeria’s veteran entertainer, John Asiemo popularly known as Daddy Showkey has revealed the identity of the bandits that attacked the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA).

He called on Nigerians to stop calling them bandits but mercenaries that have invaded our land to take it over.

The Delta State-born 51-year-old singer disclosed this via his social media handles on Wednesday.

Hetty’s Media reported the attack by unknown men in military uniforms, on Tuesday

They breached the security of the NDA when they stormed the country’s training ground for young military officers.

They gained unhindered entrance into the facility in the very early hours of Tuesday, while the soldiers manning the CCTV cameras were asleep.

On entering, they headed to the residential facility for senior military officers, killed 2 and abducted 1.

The bandits then escaped unhurt through a nearby bush with their captive.

Reports say they have already demanded a N200 million ransom as condition to release the kidnapped officer.

In his reaction, Daddy Showkey described the incident as a big shame to Nigeria whose pride has been decimated.

He pointed out that everyone needs to call the bandits by their real names as they are mercenaries who have invaded our land.

According to him; “It is a shame and disgrace to Nigeria. Our pride in Nigeria Defence Academy was attacked. You people are still calling these people bandits, these are not bandits, they are mercenaries. They are mercenaries that are coming to take over our land. It is a shame that right now, the government cannot defend its military base. It is a heavy disgrace both to the Nigerian army and government.

“Soldiers killed, and you people are still calling yourselves Nigerian army. You beat up people on the streets that wear camouflage. It is a shame and disgrace.”
