It appears that danger is looming at Omoboriowo Street, Pipeline bus stop, Igando-Ikotun as suspected vandals have broken a pipeline.
The incident which has caused panic among residents occurred in the early hours of Friday, 27th August.
Reports say that petrol, also known as premium motor spirit is gushing out of the leaking NNPC pipeline.
The liquid is flowing into drainage channels while residents who understand the danger have been announcing that residents desist for lighting any fire until the flow has been arrested completely.
Smokers are also strongly advised to avoid the area completely or forgo their normal habit for sometime.
As at press time, officials of LASEMA, LRU, Lagos State fire service, NSCDC, NNPC, LASTMA, LNSC were sighted around the scene.
While the NNPC maintenance team is making efforts to repair the burst pipeline, fire trucks are waiting in the wings to arrest any incident of fire outbreak.
