International singing sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has concluded the marriage rites of his long time fiancé, Chioma Avril Rowland.

The registry wedding is said to have taken place in November 2022.

Reports say he paid Chioma’s bride price to the Umunna (male kinsmen) in Owerre Nkworji Ezeala, Odu village Nkwerre local government area of Imo state.

Chioma’s dad who is pictured in an all white attire below did the Umunna and Umuada (female kinsmen) rites.

According to family sources, Davido paid in cash and ensured that even little kids got a share of the bride price.

The rites were done in Lagos before their son Ifeanyi was buried as it is said that in Chioma’s Village, you cannot have the child’s body unless you have paid the full bride price.

Chioma’s father was in the Village during the festive period of 2022 when on January 3, 2023 the Umunna and Umuada were settled.

Rites fully concluded, Chioma may now officially be addressed as Mrs Adeleke among her kinsmen. She will also be accorded all the privileges of a married woman.

A source also said that the rites were done to allow the Adeleke’s family to bury their son, Ifeanyi, because, in Chioma’s village, Davido cannot bury the child’s corpse until the mother’s bride price is paid in full.
