Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has granted a fully funded university scholarship to the brilliant boy who was unable to further his education because of financial challenges.
The young boy scored A1 parallel in all his WASSCE (West African Examination Council) examination papers in 2021 but stayed home because his parents were too poor to sponsor him further.
In a tweet on Wednesday evening, Davido confirmed that the Ghanaian boy identified as Morro Suleyman has been located and offered a full scholarship at Adeleke University, Nigeria.
The boy’s sorry state was shared on Twitter by Nana Yaw who appealed to kind-hearted people to come to the student’s aide.
Yaw stated that Suleyman was the best student at Sunyani SHS in 2021 but stayed home afterwards due to financial constraints.
After the story went viral, Davido in the early hours of Wednesday asked for help in locating the boy.
He wrote: “Who can please find this boy for me??”
He later tweeted again: “Has anyone found him????”
Later, Davido confirmed the boy has been located and offered the scholarship plus accommodation and allowance for entire duration of his university education.
“We have contacted Suleyman who lives in Ghana and he has been given a full 4/5 year scholarship to Adeleke university .. accommodation and allowance included ! God bless y’all .. #wrblo” he tweeted
