Deborah Okezie, the lady who gave a public outcry alleging that her son Don Davies was serially molested at the Deeper Life School hostel laments that Reno Omokri and some other persons are after her life.
According to her, Reno called her to demand she apologise to Pastor WF Kumuyi in the dailies and national TV, failing which she should be ready to bear the consequences.
She added some people also call her to enquire about the burial of her son. According to her, the callers tell her that “you’re fighting a church, definitely you will bury your child.”
Deborah laments that “these things are killing. We cannot say matter is in court and I will keep quiet and die inside house,” moreso as she is hypertensive.
Sobbing, she advised everyone to remember that the matter is in court and they should allow the law court handle it.
Reno Omokri denies the accusation saying he has “never done anything like that, it’s not true. I do not have any contact with Don Davis’s mother. I’m not even a member of Deeper Life. Why would I do that ?”
According to him, he only defended the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Church three weeks ago.
Omokri says Pastor Kumuyi has positively impacted his life since he was a child so he knows he would not have done the things that Deborah Okezie accused him of.
He added that #JusticeForDonDavis was began by Yul Edoche, a Nollywood actor and he has had a long conversation with the Edocie on the matter.
Omokri said that Don Davies’s mother is demanding N100 million compensation and he will transfer the money to Edochie the moment Deborah provides “any shred of evidence that I threatened her or asked her to apologise in newspapers or contacted her in any way, shape or form, that money will be paid to her.”
