It was a deep moment of grief for Queen Elizabeth II, the English monarch as she sat alone during the funeral service for her late Husband of over 70 years.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, died in Windsor Castle at the age of 99 on the morning of 9th April 2021.
He was buried at Windsor Castle the 7th of April in line with government health guidelines. This meant that the event had to be scaled back with very few close family members in attendance.
It was also an occasion that recognised His Royal Highness’s military associations including unique personal touches specifically recognised by the Duke himself.
