The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has upturned a traditional Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stronghold, Delta State with a massive lead in the presidential election results so far declared.
With the results of 10 local government areas so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Labour Party is leading in 7.
The remaining 3 were won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while the All Progressives Congress occupies a distant 3rd position.
The LGAs declared in favour of Labour Party are: Ika South, Aniocha North, Ethiope West, Oshimili North, Ndokwa West, Aniocha South and Ethiope East.
The PDP has Ika North East, Bomadi and Warri North.
The PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa is from Ika in Delta and is the incumbent Governor.
