Dethroned Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has a new born baby girl by his 4th wife, Saadatu, on Saturday.
One of the Emir’s sons’ Ashraf Lamio Sanusi posted the news on his social media handles.
Saadatu Barkindo Mustapha is an indigene of Adamawa State who got married to the former Kano Monarch on the 25th of September, 2015.
She ranks 4th in the list of the Emir’s wives after Saadiyya, daughter of late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, then Maryam and Rukayya.
Emir Sanusi 11’s son Ashraf delivered a special message to his dad from the king’s second wife to name the new born baby girl Saadiyya (number 1 wife). Maryam argues that Saadiyya took care of the new mother while she was pregnant.
Ashraf’s message:
“Whenever people asked me about my mothers, I’d say I have 3 (now 4) because all of my fathers’s wives are my mothers. In that spirit, I want to share something that warmed my heart with you. My first mum, Yaya (Giwa) has basically taken care of the 4th, especially through this trying period.
“My second mum, (Goggo) Mamie, seeing this pleaded with my father to name the new baby after her (Yaya). And Masha Allah, the new baby is named Halimatu Saadiyya (Rafeeqah). This is the spirit of family and peace that makes me happy.
