In the face of the growing crisis in Rivers State, the Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has taken to his live band to go cryptic on his former boss, Nyesom Wike.
The live band sparked reactions online amidst the escalation of the political tension in the state.
Meanwhile, several members of the State House of Assembly and Commissioners have resigned in the last two days, a development linked to Fubara’s face-off with his predecessor and now Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The Rivers State Government also ordered the demolition of the Assembly Complex, saying that the structure had been weakened after an arson attack that occurred at the Assembly Complex on October 29.
While many political elites have condemned Wike’s interference in Rivers State politics, the Minister has remained silent.
However, videos making the rounds online shows Fubara’s live band singing a controversial song at the flag-off construction of the 20,000 Housing unit. ‘Dey Ya Dey’ also became the lyric at other government events and was chanted during Friday’s solidarity march by some some federal lawmakers and indigens of the state.
The development got some netizens to believe it is a subtle message to Wike.
