Disney World often tagged as the “most magical place on earth” is set to re-open.

Walt Disney CEO, Bob Chapek is convinced that the amusement company has put everything in place to kick off. According to him, during the over 2 months of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. a lot planning and preparation has taken place.

However, a phased re-opening has already commenced. The management plans a total return to business for the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom resort located in Orlando, Florida on the 11th of July.  That Disney park employs over 70,000 people. July 15th will see the return of Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Bob Chapek told CNN that the look and experience will be totally different in view of the safety guidelines brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. Measures have therefore been put in place to curtail the spread of the virus.
The company’s management says it is coming back with reduced capacity but will assist tourists and employees with free protective gear like face masks.

“Welcome back ! Guests were greeted by cast members at Disney Springs this morning as part of the phased re-opening.

Disney World Shanghai is also set to re-open but as with the Florida Park, in a phased manner. It posted the announcement in its Instagram page:

“We are very excited to celebrate the phased re-opening of Shanghai Disneyland on May 11th. To honour the occasion, we are taking you to the Park’s original 2016 grand opening ceremony…enjoy the pageantry and enchantment of that special night.
