Some kind of romance scene played out during a Sharia Court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State.
The happily-ever-after scene happened when the court judge, Nuhu Falalu ordered a man to give his wife a warm romantic hug to settle their differences in the courtroom.
Nafisa Jibril is reported to have prayed the court to dissolve her marriage with a man identified as Yusuf Maiwada.
Nafisa, the complainant sought divorce on the grounds that her husband failed to provide for her and her children.
She also alleged that Maiwada beat her up, threw her out of the house and ordered her to take her children along.
In a dramatic turn of proceedings, the judge after hearing from both sides asked Maiwada to give his wife a romantic hug in the courtroom.
Justice Falalu said that, “Lack of affection from Maiwada prompted his wife to seek divorce.He also ordered the husband to give his wife money in the court and he obliged.
“The court orders you to bring her and her three children back to his house and pay for their feeding in arrears.”
He thereafter, adjourned the case until September 9, for a report of settlement and compliance of his orders by the defendant.
