A Florida man has k!lled his wife of more than a decade in a tragic act of domestic violence.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies arrested 41-year-old Lamar Bryant in connection with the March 25, 2025, shooting death of his wife, Takeshia Eads, 42.

The deputies allege that Eads wanted a divorce, and Bryant reportedly didn’t want to sign the documents. So instead, police say he turned a gun on the mother of his three children.
The shooting occurred in the Orla Vista neighborhood just outside of Orlando, per WESH. Deputies arrived at a home in the 5200 block of West Livingston Street around 3:45 p.m. following calls about a potential shooting. Emergency crews took Eads to an area hospital, where she later d!ed of her injuries.
According to court documents obtained by WESH, on the day of the shooting, Bryant allegedly stopped at a liquor store, then consumed alcohol after picking up one of the couple’s daughters from school. He then reportedly stopped at a storage unit where he keeps drugs and guns, his daughter told police.
According to court documents, “Bryant removed two firearms from his pockets and placed them on the center console.” Bryant then allegedly went back to the home and shot and k!lled his wife.
“I was laying in the bed with my wife watching TV,” neighbor Richard Roberson told WESH. “I heard like four or five shots back to back, could have been six.”
After hearing gunfire, one of his daughters asked what happened, and Bryant allegedly responded, “Nothing.” He then left the home. A short time later, police arrested him. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.
Per WESH, Bryant has a lengthy criminal history, and police arrested him twice in March 2025, but he bonded out a short time later.
Eads’ daughter, Cordeja Paige, spoke to WESH. “I was the only sibling with my own dad; my other three siblings – that’s their dad,” Paige said. “I really don’t have too much to say about [Lamar Bryant] because, at the end of the day, the Lord is going to deal with that … but I do know it’s crazy to say my mama forgives him because just the type of person she is.”
Takiya Bryant, another daughter, added, “She was definitely very holy. She helped everybody out. Everybody loved her!”

Eads leaves behind four children and four grandchildren. Paige created a GoFundMe account to help with her mother’s final expenses. It’s raised $885 of a $10,000 goal thus far.
Many people took to the sheriff’s department’s Facebook page to share thoughts on the case.
One wrote, “Out on bond for felony drug charges from March 10. Seems like he shoulda been inside the jail still, not out killing this woman.”
Someone else believes Bryant deserves a harsh sentence. “He should get the same sentence as her,” the person commented.
“I admire the family for requesting the media not to use her married name. He doesn’t deserve that honor,” another person wrote.
