The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has called on youths especially bachelors and spinsters to endeavor to get married to their friends in order to avoid having marital problems.
The Speaker gave the admonition in Abuja on Saturday during the launching of a book.
Hon. Abbas who was the chairman of the occasion said that when two people who are friends decide to get married, there won’t be problem in their marriage.
“Once you are married to your friend, you won’t have any problem. You can overcome any problem once you allow friendship and the love of God to take precedence in your marriage,” he said.
Represented by a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dickson Tarkighir, the Speaker said that it is only friendship that can make couples overcome the challenges that come in marriage, since nobody is perfect.
“The wife is born and raised from a different background just like the husband. When you come together, what should bring you together is friendship,” he said.
