A victim of domestic violence has described her reaction on hearing that her abusive ex-husband d!ed.

The identified on Facebook as Pearl UC said walked out of the marriage unannounced and completely erased the chapter from her memory.

She made her ex believe she was visiting her parents but never returned to their home. She added that after leaving, she burnt her wedding photos, threw her phone into the river, and discarded everything that had to do with the man including her wedding ring.

She later got married again and welcomed a daughter with a man she says treats her well.

She revealed on Facebook that she just got news that her first husband d!ed and her only reply was “K”.

She wrote:sometimes we forget I am a dv survivor and this is my second marriage 🤣🤣.
well my husband no believe me( he knows I was married but finds it so hard to accept I was abused )
so I understand why others are finding it hard to believe.

I swear..I’m not lying oo. I burnt all my wedding pics n threw away my old phone into the river and I did a complete identity wipe. legally and spiritually. I named my self pearl..it’s not my birth name.

so I really pity pick mes.. they are going thru a lot cus it was in my pick me phase that shits happened.. well I heard Uncle ran mad immediately after I left cuz I left as if I was going to visit my parents and never came back..he didn’t see it coming cus I pretended i had “changed”
my dad informed me yesterday thru Whatsapp that he’s dead, that his people informed him( that ninja is from my village oo.. like his family compound is trekkable from mine so in reality, I am his sister! YET!)
so I replied ‘K’.
turned around and made love to my husband and told him my ex is dead. 
he laughed and was like I don’t have an ex.
he’s right
I don’t .
that chapter is closed for life..we moved on to greater things.
