Former Niger Delta warlord, Asari Dokubo has issued a warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and the Rivers State House of Assembly.

He warned the Assembly against any attempt to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.

He gave the warning in a post on his Facebook page.

He was reacting after FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike mocked Fubara following the recent Supreme Court judgement.

The Martin Amaewhule-led assembly, which had its legitimacy affirmed by the Supreme Court on February 28, had issued a 48-hour ultimatum for Fubara to resubmit the 2025 budget for approval. The ultimatum expires Wednesday, March 5.

Dokubo said any attempt to oust Fubara from office would heat up Rivers and make even Wike unable to return to the state.

He, therefore, charged President Bola Tinubu to call Wike to order.

Addressing the president, Dokubo said, “If in your government I have to stake everything to tell you the truth, I’m staking everything to tell you the truth. It is left for you to hear, but the result you will see.”

Dokubo said he bears no personal animosity towards Wike.

“I don’t have any personal problem with Wike. I hardly have personal problem with people. I say my mind. If you don’t like it, okay.”

He added, “Mr President, if you allow Wike to push this as he is doing, it will be very difficult for him to even come to Rivers State.

“It will be difficult for those his 27 House of Assembly members to even have a place to stay in Rivers State.

“It will be difficult for anybody if they think they are going to impeach Sim (Fubara) and Ijaw people will allow it.

“It will be difficult to impeach Sim. Mark these words that I am telling you.

“It will be difficult to impeach Sim and bring a governor. It’s not going to be possible.

“Go and ask in Ondo and Delta states. The fury of the Ijaw people. They don’t give a damn. They are hardly afraid of anybody.

“The earlier you hear this. Call Wike and call Sim. Let them maintain the status quo. That is the only way.”
