Doyin Okupe, Director-General of the Labour party’s Presidential Campaign Council, has debunked reports alleging that he is working behind the scenes for PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar against the Labour Party, (LP) flag bearer, Peter Obi.
This comes after a viral report alleged that Okupe embezzled his party’ campaign funds.
He was seen in a room with the spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye and other PDP stalwarts.
The duo was captured laughing heartily together in the video said to be recent.
Reacting to the report, Okupe via his Twitter handle on Sunday denied any involvement with the PDP, adding that ‘detractors were using disinformation and lies as their tools.’
He wrote: ”After ‘chopping shishi’, *Doyin Okupe (D-G of Peter Obi’s LP Presidential Campaign Organisation) returns home to PDP* !
“Another disinformation and lie from our detractors, so they wish but this solid movement will not relent until this evil pillers collapse completely.”
In another post, he wrote: “Lies, fabrications & disinformation are their tools. But in the end they will fail & be shamed. Doyin okupe has not chopped any shish neither has he shifted base by 1mm!!! We are moving frwd till God delivers us all from the Perpetual Raiders of this lost but glorious Ark.”
