Students have begun a protest at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State gate to express their frustration over the ongoing petrol scarcity, inability to withdraw the new naira notes and economic hardship in general.
Members of the community blocked the institution’s gate preventing human and vehicular movement and other activities.
A student, who spoke in conditions of anonymity told The PUNCH that as of the time of filing this report, soldiers and Operation Burst officers had arrived the scene.
For weeks Nigeria has been faced with biting naira and fuel scarcity.
