Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has stirred reactions online with his exotic Chrono24 Patek Philippe wristwatch valued at N160 million.
This comes amidst general economic hardship, soaring inflation and crumbling businesses in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria due to the recent fuel subsidy removal.
According to Peoples Gazette, the luxury acquisition was shared online by social commentator Feyi Fawehinmi on Sunday afternoon.
Fawehinmi also shared the price tag seen on the Chrono24 website, a platform where the wealthiest people in the world shop for their luxury hand bands.
Chrono 24, on its website, pegged the wristwatch’s price at £136,189, about N160 million, based on the current exchange rate of N1,170 per pound.
